EcoProcura 1999 Bilbao - European Forum for Economic and Green Purchasing & Environmental management

EcoProcura Bilbao took place on 24-26 February 1999. It was aimed at providing information to procurers and other stakeholders on GPP and the instruments available to them. It also examined the current European legislative framework, the issue of life cycle costing, and the integration of GPP into environmental management systems.

The event took place alongside the Bilbao International Fair, with a green products exhibition integrated into the conference programme. The conference gave rise to the Bilbao Steps, which provided a first implementation framework for authorities wishing to introduce GPP.
