The Procura+ Conference
The Procura+ conference series (formerly EcoProcura) has been running for 25 years and is a dynamic and unique meeting place to exchange and equip participants with the latest professional information, advice and networking opportunities wanting to implement high quality, cost effective, sustainable, circular and innovation procurement practices.
Public procurement can play a key role in strategic governance, ensuring service delivery that achieves value for money and generates benefits not only for the organisation, but also for the environment, society and the economy. By using procurement strategically organisations can ensure that their purchasing reflects broader goals, for example procurement can steer new developments such as AI and digitalisation, act as a lever for innovation, new technologies and provides access to markets for SMEs, start-ups and social enterprises. Local issues, such as employment generation, working conditions, and the marginalisation of certain groups can be addressed through procurement. It can also be used to address global issues such as child labour and fair trade.
The Procura+ conferences look at the role of procurement in AI; access to markets for SMEs, start-ups and social enterprises; deep tech; digitalisation; e-Procurement; life cycle costing; monitoring; professionalisation; smart cities; social responsibility and supply chain management. Procura+ 2024 will present good practices and approaches for strategic procurement across thematic areas, key product and service sectors such as biodiversity, buildings; construction, energy, food and catering; ICT; mobility and textiles.
The Procura+ Network
At the heart of the Procura+ Conference series is the Procura+ European Sustainable Procurement Network. We are a network of European public authorities that connect, exchange and act on sustainable, circular and innovation procurement. Our combined knowledge and experience allows us to provide advice and support any public authority no matter what size or level of experience. The Network also joins forces to champion sustainable, circular and innovation procurement at the European and international level. The Procura+ Network has been developed by and for procurers and staff dealing with sustainability and innovation issues in public authorities.
